Selection Sunday

Steak & BJ Day
This kicks off one of the greatest weeks for men of the year. Following up the men's holiday are St. Patrick's Day and March Madness. Sit Back and enjoy the week guys with the lady you love.
Steak and BJ Day was invented by Tom Birdsey, may he live forever, and may the gods eternally bless his fate. Men everywhere should write, and sing, songs in his honor, build shrines and worship at the alter for this man who has been so benevolent as to bless us with a day devoted entirely to devouring massive hunks of cow flesh and being the recipient of one of life's simplest, yet greatest, pleasures. Truly, he is a saint among swine, and deserving of the highest accolades in the worlds beyond.

New Game
A new game that looks like it has a chance to be pretty good. We have to put it on the "demo" list for this summer.
Defenders of the Realm is a cooperative fantasy board game in which 1-4 players take a role as one of the King’s Champions (Choose from Cleric, Dwarf, Eagle Rider, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer and Wizard). You, as one of the King's Heroes make use of strategy, special abilities, cooperation, card play and a little luck in Defenders of the Realm for a unique experience every adventure. But be forewarned! There is never time to rest. As each Enemy General is struck down in battle, the remaining dark forces only grow more difficult to vanquish and their march to Monarch City gets faster with each Hero victory!

Oscar
Well tonight is an event that I will be forced to watch and it is one that I don't like. Let me rephrase that. I hate it. No wait, I loathe it. It is the Oscars. And as if watching them struggle with 5 choices for Best Picture wasn't enough this year it will be a choice of 10. That's right 10. Here is the list:

Go Bucks - Big 10 Champs
Way to go OSU clinching a share of the 2009-2010 Big 10 Championship. They finish the regular season with a 24-7 record (14-4 in the league)and a probable #2 seed in the Dance.

2010 Winter Olympics
Well the Olympics wound up with an exciting overtime hockey game. Canada beat the US 3-2 in overtime. The win gave Canada the gold and was their 14th of the Games a new record surpassing the 13 won by the Soviets in 1976 and Norway in 2002.
The Silver medal for the United States gave them 37 total medals the most ever for a Winter Olympics.

I Will Survive
On this day in 1980 Gloria Gaynor and I will survive won the first, and last, Grammy for disco.
The choice of "I Will Survive" as the winner that night was unassailable, even given the competition. Also nominated in the Best Disco Recording category were: Earth, Wind & Fire for "Boogie Wonderland;" Michael Jackson for "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough;" Rod Stewart for "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?"; and Donna Summer for "Bad Girls." If there was anything surprising about the award, it was that it was being given at all, considering the anti-disco backlash that was already well underway.

Looks like Cbus will close out February with the most snow ever in the month. Please stop snowing so we can break out the gloves!!
By the way I am getting a little tired of hearing O Canada. But they are having their best Olympics ever. As a matter of fact it will be hard for anyone to catch them in total gold medals.
