On this date in 2006 number 1 Ohio State faced number 2 Michigan in Columbus. Both schools entered the game 11-0. Troy Smith was 29 for 41 with 316 passing yards and 4 touchdowns and Antonio Pittman carried the ball 18 times for 138 yards as the Bucks win 42-39 and advance to the National Championship Game. Smith became only the second OSU QB to win 3 consecutive games over the Wolverines. He became the Buckeyes first Heisman Trophy winner since Eddie George. Go Bucks!!!
