Here is a list of Important dates from the GenCon Indy Site.
Key Dates
* January, 2011 – Badge Pre-Registration begins
* January, 2011 – Housing opens
* April, 2011 – Event Pre-Registration begins
* June, 2011 – Badge and Event Pre-Registration close ("Ship To Me" options end) - all shipping method changes must be requested by this time
* June, 2011 – Extended Registration opens for Will Call only orders at full onsite price
* July, 2011 – Housing cut-off date, the last day to make new hotel reservations
* July, 2011 – Final Passkey shut-off date
* August 3, 2011 – Onsite Registration begins
* August 4-7, 2011 – Gen Con Indy show dates
Pre-Registration and Extended Registration will be available online through RUBI (our registration system). We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for payment. Checks and Money Orders are not accepted at any time. The Marion County admissions tax will be charged for all badge purchases, in compliance with Marion County laws.

Looking for something to do, somewhere to go?
Charleston West Virginia is hosting a game convention October 23-25. Only a three hour drive from Cbus it might be worth a road trip. What say you men? More here.

Fall Outing?
This fall marks the 20th Anniversary of the Ohio Renaissance Festival. It runs on weekends from September 5- October 25. I was trying to figure out when would be a good week end to go for me and was wondering if we could make it a big outing? My schedule will be based on the Ohio State home schedule. The Buckeyes are home on:
Saturday September 5 they open with Navy at the 'Shoe. I will be at that game after a full morning of tailgating so this one is out for me.
Saturday September 12 they play USC at 8:00 PM. This might be a possibility.
Saturday September 19 they play Toledo in Cleveland. I have a feeling that the boys up North might be heading to Browns Stadium for this one.
Saturday September 26 they play Illinois at a time to be determined. This might work.
Saturday October 10 they host Wisconsin time to be determined.
Saturday October 24 they play Minnesota at noon.
Another possibility is the Great Lakes Medieval Faire in Rock Creek Ohio. It runs from July 11 - August 16. I would be up for checking this out too but it would almost have to be on a Sunday.

Gen Con Announces a New Registration System
Gen Con was given an opportunity on January 5th for the development of a new registration system. This is a brand new, adaptable system that promises to be flexible and agile enough to grow with us rather than against us. Gone are the days of the system crashing, difficulty searching events and slow performance. While we will be developing the system as we go, we strongly feel the pros far outweigh the cons. You spoke, we listened, and now we all have a new registration system.
What does this mean to you? Well, it means you will need to create a new account in the new system by going to registration.gencon.com, starting next week. Also, please note that Badge Registration has been pushed to Sunday, February 15th at 12:00 pm (ET) and Hotel Registration will go live on Tuesday, February 17th at 12:00 pm (ET), due to the Monday holiday. More information on account creation and registration will be coming soon!

Adventurer Gatherings in 2009
Other than JonCon and GenCon does anyone have any thoughts on a road trip or two for this year? I know Counselor Norwalk went to an event in Pennsylvania last year so maybe something like that would be in order. Also, maybe a visit to the state up north and visit the Wallet Draining Lich once he gets settled in up there would be possible.
Maybe a trip to a ball game would be doable also.
