Happy New Year!!

I went and saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie starring Robert Downey and Jude Law as the residents of 221b Baker Street. A movie that really wasn't taken from any of the previous works but was a pretty good telling of the story we think we know. And it sets up a sequel beautifully. Pretty good stuff but I have to say I didn't get the Fight Club sequence. And they really needed to show more of Rachel McAdams who played Irene Adler. Go see it, take a buddy or two, since this is a buddy movie. 3 Floyd's for the fun and fast pace!

2010 Movie preview

It looks like 2010 will be yet again a good year for Adventurer movies. Sherlock Holmes (starts on Christmas), Ironman 2, Robin Hood, Clash of the Titans, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Prince of Persia, The A Team, The Last Airbender are just some of the movies we might be able to go see as a group.

We're looking forward to another year of movie madness and reviews.

Went to see Avatar with the Wallet Draining Lich, Durwaine Leaflander and Keithstradamus. All I can say is wow. I normally would never use words like visually stunning in a review but I can't help it. I was 20 minutes into it when I remembered there was a story line. The story line is really inconsequential. It is borrowed, stolen, predictable but that is forgivable considering the tech stuff in this movie.

It was just an incredible experience. I will now go back and see it in 3d iMax. 6 Floyds out of 5!!
