Origins

I know it runs concurrently with our event but we always manage to get over to it for a few hours anyway. 64 days until Origins starts its 35th show. Looks like the $5 Day Pass is back:

Day Pass

Origins is proud to continue to offer our popular day passes again this year.

For each day the exhibitor hall is open (Thursday thru Sunday) we will allow people to attend the show for an admission fee of only $5/day. You can bring the whole family for only $15/day!

Please keep in mind that these passes do not allow you to play in any ticketed games or events at the show.

The day passes do allow access into all non-ticketed events, such as:
• Entry to the Exhibit Hall
• Entry to the Art Show
• Entry into the Origins Theme area for breakfast or evening events
• Participation in the Origins Auction
• Participation in Open Gaming

Find out about the Origins experience by chatting with gamers and past attendees in our staff-moderated Origins Forum.

The Adventure of Doom part Deux

Your party has returned to the cemetery via the passage way you found in the graveyard. After making it out, barely, you all feel blessed to be alive. After a few days you should be almost back to full health. After much debate you have to decide whether or not to return to the dungeon or continue on your quest. You have but 5 days left to deliver the parcel to Marsember. You are 4 days and a bit away. As you are talking you hear the sounds of horses rapidly approaching. What do you do? Talk amongst yourselves and post your decision on JonCon08.blogspot.com. This will be your opening imitative. What say you men?

The Prince of Persia

I went and saw the Prince of Persia this morning starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Since it was based off of a game I didn't expect a lot. I didn't leave disappointed. Overall it was, meh, at best. I will say that Jake's character, Dastan, would be a pretty cool D&D character. Oh wait, he is all of the Hairy Ones characters. The female lead, Gemma Arterton (Strawberry Fields from Quantum of Solace), was pretty hot although they could have made her a lot more seductive.

It was better than the D&D movie so go see it. I only paid $5 for the ticket so that made it more tolerable. 2 Floyds and a bit.
