This Day in History

Elvis Presley sings "Don't Be Cruel" and "Hound Dog" on Ed Sullivan's immensely popular show Toast of the Town. Presley scandalized audiences with his suggestive hip gyrations, and Sullivan swore he would never book the singer on his show. However, Presley's tremendous popularity and success on other shows changed Sullivan's mind. Although Elvis had appeared on a few other programs already, his appearance on Ed Sullivan's show made him a household name. So in honor of the king here is his to do list from his computer:

10. Annual "Stop Lisa Marie from marrying some weirdo" project
09. Talk to ex-wife about the harmful side effects of religious effects
08. Roll in grave, repeat as necessary
07. Eat a hunka hunka cheddar cheese
06. Rattle some chains, make some groaning noises at Michael Jackson's ranch
05. Thank the fans. Thank them very much
04. Shoot the TV again aiming at the two remaining Beatles
03. Order up another batch of peanut butter and banana tacos
02. Somehow get it through my fan's heads that I am fucking dead
01. Finish kicking Hendrick's ass in that air hockey tournament
