Hottest USA 2010 Winter Olympians

This is my favorite. Lindsey Vonn is an alpine skier. Back-to-Back World Championships. Please win. And wear this dress to the podium.

Hottest USA 2010 Winter Olympians

Usually finishing number two means you are first loser but in this case I'll make an exception. It has been said about Kristi Leskinen that "She's a freestyler, loves to do it, sounds foreign but is actually American, and looks ridiculously hot in her underwear. Yep.

Hottest USA 2010 Winter Olympians

Gretchen Bleiler is 5'5" tall and competes in halfpipe. I'm not sure what that is but I'm going to watch if that is the official team uniform.

Hottest USA 2010 Winter Olympians

these are my honorable mentions, Julie Mancuso from the Slalom failed to make it because of the Boots. Just Kidding, I never saw the boots. Actually she is 10b and the reason I am doing this post.

Tanith Belbin is an ice dancer and didn't make it for a couple of reasons.1, she is too skinny. Ok just kidding on that one. She was born and raised in Canada and holds dual citizenship.

Hottest USA 2010 Winter Olympians

Looking like she should be a server at the HofbrÀuhaus (I wish) rather than skating on the ice Alissa Czisny comes in at number 5 on the list.

God Bless the USA and pink spandex. I am becoming a fan of the sport of skeleton. She does have a super hero look about her doesn't she?

Hottest USA 2010 Winter Olympians

Number eight comes to us courtesy of the Skeleton team. Katie Uhlaender may look like a super hero but I wonder what kinds of skeletons live in her closet. You have to love sports that dress in spandex.

Hottest USA 2010 Winter Olympians

I noticed during the Opening Ceremonies that Team USA has some really beautiful athletes this year. So I thought I would do a top ten list.

Number 10 on our list comes to us from women's snowboarding. All I can say is "Yeah Boy." Lindsey Jacobellis is one of America's best bets for gold. I can't wait to see her on the podium.

Listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick!

"Well hello Mister Fancypants. Well, I've got news for you pal, you ain't leadin' but two things, right now: Jack and shit... and Jack just left town."

Yep, we did it. A little mini gathering without The Wallet Draining Lich, Counselor Norwalk or the Hairy One. We ate and bashed the heir apparent PROTUS at Champs (Don Pablo's closed), went to the book store where we continued the tradition of buying stuff we don't need and went to see one of the classic films of any genre and of any era. That's right we went and saw Army of Darkness. A good time was had by all. All 8 of us in the theatre. that's right. One of the largest theaters at Lennox and we had a virtual private showing. Hail to the King Baby!

All that being said here is my top ten list of quotes from Army of Darkness.

10. Yo, she-bitch! Let's go!
09. Clatto Verata N... Necktie... Neckturn... Nickel... It's an "N" word, it's definitely an "N" word!
08. Now I swear the next one of you primates even *touches* me...
07. Alright. Who wants some?
06. Cry Havoc and let loose the Dogs of War!
05. Honey, you got reeeal ugly!
04. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?
03. Oh that's just what we call pillow talk, baby, that's all.
02. Well hello Mister Fancypants. Well, I've got news for you pal, you ain't leadin' but two things, right now: Jack and shit... and Jack just left town.
01. Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick!

On a side note it looks like they are trying to make The Evil Dead (Army of Darkness II) for a release sometime in 2009. I hope they don't screw the pooch on that project.

This Day in History

Elvis Presley sings "Don't Be Cruel" and "Hound Dog" on Ed Sullivan's immensely popular show Toast of the Town. Presley scandalized audiences with his suggestive hip gyrations, and Sullivan swore he would never book the singer on his show. However, Presley's tremendous popularity and success on other shows changed Sullivan's mind. Although Elvis had appeared on a few other programs already, his appearance on Ed Sullivan's show made him a household name. So in honor of the king here is his to do list from his computer:

10. Annual "Stop Lisa Marie from marrying some weirdo" project
09. Talk to ex-wife about the harmful side effects of religious effects
08. Roll in grave, repeat as necessary
07. Eat a hunka hunka cheddar cheese
06. Rattle some chains, make some groaning noises at Michael Jackson's ranch
05. Thank the fans. Thank them very much
04. Shoot the TV again aiming at the two remaining Beatles
03. Order up another batch of peanut butter and banana tacos
02. Somehow get it through my fan's heads that I am fucking dead
01. Finish kicking Hendrick's ass in that air hockey tournament

This Day in History

On July 26 1775, Ben Franklin established our Postal system. So, in honor of that, here are the top ten ways the Post Office will spend the profits from the increase in postage:

10. Hire consultants to figure out how to plan next rate hike.
9. Find new and better ways to lose our nation's mail.
8. Stamps the size of door mats!
7. Face lift for Mr. Zip.
6. Commemorative stamp collection featuring President Clinton and all of his mistresses.
5. Lobby to put a mailman on Mount Rushmore.
4. Battery-operated vibrating mail bags.
3. Special stamp glue that gives you a three hour buzz.
2. Retain the services of Robert Shapiro.
And the number one way to spend the profit....

1. Ammo! Ammo! Ammo!

Memorial Day means War Movies

A long time ago General Sherman said "War is Hell", or something to that effect. So why do we glorify it? Why do we continue to promote it and the warriors who are, and were, involved in it? I'm not sure why but we Americans love war movies. And the funny thing is they don't even have to be about one of our wars. There are so many great movies that coming up with just a few turned out to be a lot harder than I thought it would. With that in mind I proudly present my favorite war movies. Remember these are my favorites.

15. Braveheart - 1995

14. Wings - 1927

13. Bridge on the River Kwai - 1957

12. Sgt. York - 1941

11. Full Metal Jacket - 1987

10. We Were Soldiers - 2002

09. The Big Red One - 1980

08. She Wore A Yellow Ribbon - 1949

07. Gettysburg - 1993

06. The Great Escape - 1963

05. The Dirty Dozen - 1967

04. Patton - 1970

03. Saving Private Ryan - 1998

Who can ever forget the stunning opening sequence? Easily one of the most powerful movies I have seen in a theatre. At the end no one got up and left. Everyone just sat, some in tearful reflection, and thought of what they had just witnessed.

02. Das Boot - 1981

The ultimate WWII U-boat movie. And you have to watch the original version.

01. Glory - 1989

Give 'em Hell, 54th!! Awesome story about the 54th Mass, a black regiment commanded by white officers during the Civil War. Matthew Broderick, Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington. A true classic.
