World Series - Game 4

Forget Joe the Plumber. I want Joe the Pitcher/Home Run Hitter/ Game 4 winner. Joe Blanton, who could have been a Cincinnati Red, led the Phillies to an old fashioned 10-2 butt kicking of the Rays.

Philadelphia leads the Series 3 games to 1 and have their ace Cole Hamels going tonight in the clincher.

Blanton, who was the 24th pick of the first round in 2002, was born in Bowling Green Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky. The Reds who had the 3rd pick in that round took Christopher Gruler passing on Blanton, Cole Hamels, Scott Kazmir, Joe Saunders and Prince Fielder, to name but a few. Nice scouting Cincinnati.
